Hawke’s Bay Technologies Golf Fundraiser

On May 9th, divots were flying, balls were disappearing, and buggies were speeding around the Napier Golf Course - but fortunately, the focus wasn’t entirely on skill. The HB Technologies (HBT) fundraiser for Spark That Chat brought together a fantastic mix of fun, friendly competition, and a powerful cause.

The weather held out until the final hole, and the HBT team did an incredible job organising the event. After a warm welcome and a speech from Jack about Spark That Chat’s mission, players jumped into their carts, armed with clubs and plenty of enthusiasm, ready to tackle the 18-hole Ambrose tournament.

Along the way, players faced charity challenges, got involved in a bit of bucket shaking with STC team member Sam, and generously contributed to the cause, raising an impressive $4,000 for Spark That Chat. Massive thanks to everyone who donated, including the incredible local businesses that came along to show their support.

It was especially meaningful to host the event at Napier Golf Course, a place that has shown incredible resilience after the devastation of Cyclone Gabrielle in 2023. Two of the Spark That Chat team members once lived just down the road, and seeing the course bounce back to its former glory added a touch of inspiration to the day.

How did Jack’s team perform? Let’s just say Ryan Fox’s spot on the pro circuit is safe for now. 🙂 But that’s what made the day so enjoyable - it was all about bringing people together, starting conversations, and making a difference.
